Vision Statement

Christ Church aims to be
'A House of Prayer for all Nations'

A House of Prayer:

The community of believers at Christ Church believe in the importance of the power of prayer as a means of communicating with God but also acknowledges that many people struggle with knowing how to pray. Prayer is encouraged both privately (at home and in small groups) and corporately (in Sunday services and prayer meetings). Prayer ministry volunteers are available after Sunday services to pray for anyone who wishes to receive this.

In the Bible, the term 'House of Prayer' is used of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. The building at Christ Church occupies a prominent location on the High Road in North Finchley. This enables the building to act as a focus of prayer and Christian witness within the local community.

All Nations:

The church aims to be a community of believers drawn from all nationalities who meet together at the church and in each other's homes week by week to worship God.
