Wren Acedemy

In September 2008, the Wren Academy rose from the ashes of the former Christ Church school. The academy follows the current trend in building specialist academies in place of previously failing schools. Its particular focus is on design and the built environment, taking its name from Sir Christopher Wren, the architect of St Pauls Cathedral amongst many other notable structures.

In 2008 the academy only has a year 7 but the plan is to grow gradually, adding a new year group each year until finally having all 13 year groups from 2014.

Additionally the Barnet Council site and Education Guardian site have some useful information and Yahoo has web page links of many schools and Sixth Form colleges in the area, particularly useful if you are looking for schools or if you are a school leaver looking for a college in the area.
